Really how many different versions of the same old games can Atari keep putting out?
Now if Atari released Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime on Android, that would be something I'd buy for $9.99.
Just saying!

Asteroids Gunner blows!

The only positive thing I can say about it is the controls are rock solid.

With that out of the way, the game is super money hungry!!! They want money for just about everything in the game. To remove ads, to buy new levels, to buy certain equipment.

At first you think, ok, this game is cool, but then after you play for a while you realize it's the same crap over and over again. It never changes.....gee, just like the first asteroids!

If you want a bad ass asteroids type game then go check out Space Miner (HD). At least with that you pay once, only once and you get a complete game. Plus there's TONS of stuff to do in the game. I found it very entertaining. So much so that I bought it for my phone then later bought it again for my iPad in HD.

For those that are jailbroken, the money in Asteroids is kept in a simple PLIST file. Just go in and change it to whatever you want.

Also:

"Asteroids: Gunner is a free-to-play..."

That's false. It's more of a demo. You only get one area. In order to keep playing you have to buy buy buy.
