Do you ever think that Apple just releases new iOS upgrades to fix the bugs in the last upgrade? It’s sure starting to look that way. According to BGR, Apple sources are claiming that iOS 4.3.2 will fix the connection issues being reported by owners of the Verizon iPad 2. The upgrade, due in the next week or two, is also expected to come with a fix for FaceTime problems, hopefully including the one that causes the iPhone 4 to take photos without the owner’s permission. In addition, iOS 4.3.2 should have security fixes for WebKit vulnerabilities, plus some other small changes. OK, Apple—this is getting annoying. People have to stand in line for hours to buy an iPad or wait weeks for it to arrive, only to start having connection problems with the 3G Verizon models almost immediately. Then they go to the Apple Forums and find a bunch of other folks having the same problems, but no advice from Apple, at least not any that works. Some users take their iPad 2 to the Genius Bar, only to find out that the geniuses aren’t so ingenious when it comes to fixing this connection problem. Some who complained were issued new iPad 2s, which seems like an extreme remedy for the problem. Some Genuises guessed that the glitch was with iOS 4.3.1, and they will be proven correct if iOS 4.3.2 turns out to actually fix the connection bug.

The only official word from Apple came Friday, when the company released a statement that they’re looking into it. In corporate ass-covering talk, that usually means, “We have no idea what the hell is going on.” Oh, well, if iOS 4.3.2 doesn’t work. I’m sure there will be an iOS 4.3.3 right around the corner.
