Apple took an early lead over its competitors by incorporating the gyroscope (an electronic one obviously known as the MEMS gyroscope) into the iPhone 4. With the launch of the iPad 2 with the gyroscope, the iPad 2 can now make good use of it. But are you really aware of what games you can use it for? Today iPad.net brings you information about some games which will benefit from the gyroscope now present in the iPad 2. Good examples of games are First Person Shooter (FPS) games which can now utilise the gyroscope on the iPad 2: 1)      N.O.V.A: This is a brilliant game which can definitely keep you immersed. You need to fight off aliens (known as judges) for mankind’s survival. 2)      Eliminate: Gun Range: This is one of the first games which started making use of the gyroscope. You will be provided with a large variety of challenges and weaponry while playing this game. 3)      Modern Combat: Sandstorm: With very realistic environments, option for multiplayer games and bucket loads of action this is an engaging FPS game. 4)      Brother in Arms 2: Global Front: This is good shooter game using the gyro on the iPhone which is set in World War 2 times. If you are interested in games which can test the quickness and agility of your hand then take a look at these. These games are highly addictive and can make full use of the iPad’s gyro. 1)      Zen Bound 2: In this game you need to entangle the different objects by moving your phone around. The fact that the game has gyro support makes the movement even more precise. 2)      Gyroblox: This was the game used by Steve Jobs when he presented the gyroscope. Basically this game provides a Jenga-like tower building experience using the gyroscope and blocks obviously. 3)      UFO on Tape: In this game you need to follow a UFO for as long as you can by moving the iPhone around. Definitely fun and entertaining. If you are still not convinced about the gyroscope’s awesome application in gaming then let’s bring forward the final set of games which will definitely get you to change your mind. I am talking about racing games where the gyroscope is also used. There are plenty of racing games but the ones mentioned below are better optimised for using the gyro on the iPad 2. 1)      Asphalt 5 & 6: These games do not need any introduction. Enjoy the thrills of high speed racing. 2)      Real Racing HD: An excellent racing game with highly accurate controls. However, do not get fooled by the multiplayer mode. It only allows you to compare your scores online. 3)      Shrek Kart: If you like Shrek in the big screen then you will definitely enjoy characters of the movie racing it out. To make things better you have good gyro support. As you can see, the gyroscope can have really beneficial uses in the gaming genre. This will help make the iPad 2 a much more accurate, precise and better gaming machine. Most of the games mentioned above were made for the iPhone 4. But wait for a few months and there will be many more gyro supported games out for the iPad 2.
