How to make a FaceTime Call? Make sure you have enable FaceTime on your iPad 2. Also the person you are calling must have a FaceTime enabled device (either an iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 2). 1)      Tap on the FaceTime icon on your iPad 2’s Home screen. 2)      You find the contacts icon at the bottom of the screen once you open FaceTime. This is from where you can call contacts. The contacts list is automatically pulled from your iPad 2’s address book. 3)      Tap on the contact you want to call. 4)      Once you tap on the contact you will see a small call status button. This indicates that a call is in progress. By tapping on End you can end the call. There are several options when a call is in progress. These will be displayed on your screen.
  • Muting the FaceTime Call.
  • Ending the FaceTime Call.
  • Switching between the cameras you use for the call. Either the front facing one or the rear facing one.
  • A cool feature is the ability to drag your own video feed into any of the four corners of the screen based on where it is most convenient for you.
How to Manage your Contacts in FaceTime? You have various options while dealing with contacts. You can add contacts, edit their information or share the information from the same view.
  • If you are looking to share a contact then simply tap on the Share Contact icon. This will automatically open your email allowing you to send the contact as a .VCF file which will be attached to the email.
  • If you want to add certain contacts to your favourites list then go to the contact and tap on Add to Favourites.
  • Say a contact has more than one number or email you will be asked to choose the correct one. Make sure to choose the email address which is associated with FaceTime and not the other one.
So, by now I am sure you have clearly understood how to enable FaceTime, make calls and manage your contacts. FaceTime is an amazing feature which you can easily make use of.
