App developers have obviously had to update the apps suitable for the iPhone & iPod touch camera so that they would work for the iPad 2. While not many camera apps are currently available for the iPad 2, iPad.net looks at the ones which are compatible and will allow you to show them off on your iPad 2. Let’s get started with the first 2 apps in this multi-part series.
  • Evernote
If you have had a problem remembering stuff and wanted to note them down, then Evernote has to be on the best apps out there for iOS. What’s better, this app has now been updated to make use of the camera’s on the iPad 2. Through cool categorizing tools and amazing cloud based sync, Evernote will make sure that you never forget or lose track of anything ever again. You can use the iPad 2’s camera to snap a pic, tag it and add it to a ‘notebook’ for later. You can also index pics which will allow you to find them faster. What’s better? Evernote is free on the App store.
  • World Lens
Do you travel a lot? Then World Lens is an app which will ensure that you do not need to carry thick translating books around with you. Having being updated to capture pics from the iPad 2’s cameras, World Lens can be used to translate signs in foreign languages into the language you are comfortable with. Augmented reality on the vibrant 10 inch screen has never looked better. While World Lens may not be perfect it is definitely useful. You can get it for free from the App store. However, note that languages packs cost $9.99. Continue reading iPad.net for the next few camera apps made compatible with the iPad 2.
