GDC's over and done, but news is still pouring in. Ok, some of them are just April Fools jokes, but there are a lot of really really real news too.

The biggest news this week is that Firmware 2.70 has hit with a bunch of new features in tow. There's also some moans of despair when Sony finally announced their oober dooper announcement, which turned out to be a PS2 price cut. Well, it was great news for those who've been wanting to buy a PS2 I guess.

Christian Allen, an ex-developer for Bungie, remarks in an interview that Killzone 2 - the flagship shooter of the PlayStation 3 - could "totally be done on 360 if Guerrilla wanted to."

If you weren't planning on pre-ordering X-Men Origins: Wolverine, maybe this new promo from GameStop can change your mind. Pre-ordering it from GameStop will give you access to the custom combat arena, an environmental simulator, and an extra challenge level.

The iPhone's getting some retro-lovin along with all the heavy-hitting games that's lined up. It's good old alien-hating Galaga, which is getting a remix specially for this release.

It's no secret that Turbine Inc., the company behind Lord of the Rings Online, is developing a new MMO. Although they still won't confirm whether this mystery game is a port of LoTRO, they do say that they're "incredibly excited" about what they have so far.

Just a quick update for Xbox 360 gamers. A new system update is now available that addresses interruption issues when playing Xbox Live with some games. No new features though.

Rumor has it that Sony's been developing their own motion sensing remote for the PlayStation 3. According to one of Kombo's sources who "has a superb track record for accuracy," the remote is already finished and Sony's looking for publishers to support it in their games.

Go through a romp in a post-apocalyptic world in new screenshots for Terminator: Salvation. Not much is seen of Model 101 is seen here, but we do get a good look on some of the other robots you'll be going up against.
