It's good to see PSP homebrew developers are still banging away at providing updates for their homemade applications and games for Sony's handheld. It's a mostly thankless job, but really, lots of kudos to these excellent men and women (there are female homebrew devs, you know). Anyway, this week we got a new update for the GEN CFW, a couple of new emulator revisions, and more applications to turn your PSP into a jack of all trades. Hit the jump for the rest of this week's PSP Homebrew Weekend Warrior.

ghostreconLooks like Ubisoft is off to making one "Ghost Recon Future Soldier", if the filed trademark on the USPTO is any indication. No other information is available, save for the fact that it is classified as a video game.

A Japanese analyst has high enough faith in Final Fantasy XIII to say that it just may be able to surpass that established record.

medalofhonorIt's probably just a bug, or it could be a legitimate holiday promo from the EA Store in the UK. Regardless, what's important is that right now, you can get Medal of Honor Airborne and Battleforge for free.

wiids_ww_shortDespite the overwhelming mass of shovelware in the DS lineup, there are quite a few that gamers might actually like. They happened to have made some noise this week, and if you've been looking for something to run in your DS, you might find it here. As for the Wii owners, you might be interested in getting a Final Fantasy title in your shelf now that GameStop broke the date on The Crystal Bearers.
