Following the announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker's Japanese release date yesterday, Konami has released info on the game's UK launch.

 

 

For concerned parents wanting their kids to stay away from the blood and gore, here's a handy app from the ESRB. Suppose you're with your kid in the mall and he suddenly asks for a game on the store window. With this app, you can look the game up and see what the rating board has to say about that game, so you'll know right then and there if you would approve of the game.

 

 

Electronic Arts is reminding gamers that the Call of Duty franchise isn't the only big soldier-based FPS on the block. They're bringing back the Medal of Honor series next year with a reboot called.. Medal of Honor.

Thanks to the graphical issues plaguing the PS3 version of Bayonetta, PS3 gamers are being saddled with an arguably worse version compared to the one their Xbox 360-owning counterparts are getting. Sega and Platinum Games are apparently working overtime to remedy the problem, however.

Just as the underperformers list was littered with DS and Wii games, so is Media Create's software sales bombarded with DS and Wii games. Nine out of ten are for the Nintendo consoles, and only one non-Nintendo console title made it in.

 

 

 

Homebrew coder Tantric is back to release a new version of Snes9x GX,  a Super Nintendo emulator for the Nintendo Wii based on the PC emulator SNES9x 1.51 and powered by libwiigui. The latest Snes9x GX update has added some new features and various other fixes and improvements.

Japanese retailer Oosaka King has released their top 10 list of 2009 games that performed way under financial expectations. Do take note, though, that financial failure does not necessarily mean gameplay failure. There were several factors that can be attributed to why the results came out this way, although in the end, there can only be one word to describe the fate of these underperformers: Sucks.

 

 

 

A new version of MHUSPEED has been released.  MHUSPEED is an alternative homebrew enabler similar to ChickHEN but is said to run much faster and less likely to crash.
