The ESRB has just slapped Atlus Games' Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey with an M rating. The reason behind this rating: graphic text and phallic monsters.

In keeping with the strange spellings and pronunciations of the Xross Media Bar and Qore, that's pronounced "curiosity." They've also started to send out feelers to gauge gamer reaction on possible premium PSN services.

Busy, busy week on the QJ.NET PS3 blog. The 2009 VGAs last weekend opened up a flood of new game announcements, and the mid-week release of Final Fantasy XIII in Japan also led to lots of traffic on the blog. Great week for fans of the long-running RPG series, really. It was also nice to see a few special editions announced for Europe.
