Due to a rock fall last April 25, miners Todd Russell and Brant Webb were trapped in Beaconsfield Gold Mine in Northern Tasmania. Discovered only on Sunday, April 30, a drilling operation to free the pair will begin May 3 at 3:30 in the afternoon.

The rescue operation, which will last for 48 hours, is aided by a digital camera which was provided to the trapped men.
