Apple iPhone mobile handset - Image 1Developer spektro recently announced a new homebrew app for the Apple iPhone, which will have prank call victims crying tears of joy for this latest release. Entitled "iBlacklist", it essentially allows you to filter any incoming SMS or calls you receive and effectively block them should any of the listed numbers try and contact you.

The developer noted that users who want install this nifty app should first configure their handsets using the Mobile Substrate feature to load the library without modifying any important files on your device. Once you've finished installing, please make sure to reboot your iPhone to allow all the necessary changes to take effect.

The new 2.0 package of the app was recently released on Cydia via the BigBoss repository. The package has already been tested by the developer and should be available for download. spektro also invites everyone to leave any feedback they have regarding iBlacklist on the project's release thread, accessible through the link below.

 » Awesome

Why isn't this a standard feature?
It should be. Not just on the iPhone, but for all cellular phones.
Great work though. Exactly what I've been looking for.
