Here's some big news for the guys who've been enjoying the past few releases of ZodTTD's gpSPhone GBA emulator for the iPhone. The developer has just announced the release of this homebrew's v1.7.0 beta. 

This new build will feature, among other things, better overall performance and improved sounds. Here's the changelog (quoting ZodTTD's post):

• Properly syncs sound to gameplay. Sound quality is greatly improved in this version. Now uses proper use of signaling conditions in threads to sync sound.
• Performance increased due to using new compiler from the developer saurik, and assorted bug fixes.
• Thanks to NerveGas of NES.app, bug fixes were submitted and used to properly handle GUI aspects such as the navbar now being at the top
  

Those planning to run the new build will first need to properly set the GBA game directory on the iPhone to have world writable permissions. You'll also need to have the proper GBA BIOS file gba_bios.bin file loaded in your phone to avoid errors.
