IGG - Image 1We guess many of you are familiar with MMO developer IGG and its various on-going projects such as Voyage Century Online and Myth War (among others).

If you like their kind of MMO, then you're in luck because IGG just announced a new one: Zu Online.

The closed beta test of this game will start in September.

Zu Online is based on a novel titled The Life of Swordsman. Just like the novel, the title will have a lot of reference to classical sutras as well as a rich culture of immortals and knight-errants. According to IGG, this MMO title pays homage to traditional Chinese culture.

Players, furthermore, will be able to do the following once they enter the virtual world of the Zu Mountains: tasting flight by riding a sword, forging mystic weapons, and creating sects. Playable races in Zu Online include ghosts, immortals, and knight-errants.

While IGG has still to announce a concrete date when Zu Online will go live, the company has promised that it will be available this year.
