An old poster... - Image 1As we all know, Microsoft has been going the extra mile in an attempt to establish themselves in the East, and achieve the same level of success that they did in the West. Now, even though we're not quite sure how they stand with the Japanese, they at least seem to be doing well in India since the console was locally released in September 2006.

According to Gunjan Bagla of Amritt Ventures, the Xbox 360 is actually "ubiquitous in stores across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore". There aren't any exact numbers from MS India that we could mull over right now, but it is surmised that they have managed to take a chunk out of the estimated "1.6 million gamers in India who spend at least 2 hours playing everyday", a demographic that was once cited by Mohit Anand of Microsoft's India Entertainment and Devices Division.

Considering that the average annual income of Indian citizens are considerably lower as compared to their Western counterparts, we're guessing that those gaming loans that their banks have been offering may be doing the trick.

the swastika in the eastern world holds a sacred meaning, unlike its meaning in the western world (where it has racist associations).

datnizzle is a dumbass what are u saying billions of people their population in india is small!!! Their is a extremely small fraction of people who are rich and microsoft knows that if the rich want the 360 they can buy it online and have it shipped to themselves. they are targeting the poor, y the hell do u think the bank xbox loans are seperately setup!!
rich ppl won't need a loan for playing a game, they should be able to afford it or else they should but that money well saved.

 » atleast they won't suffer

atleast they won't suffer because it is bad enough they are making money off the poor. atleast they are good people who are quick learner and therefore i bet %99 of the xbox 360's are flashed with the latest xtreme firmware and so they can get backups and play them rather then buying a game that cost's as much as their one months rent!
