Pandaren - Image 1Just a week after the in-game pets for World of Warcraft were announced, one of the two variations has apparently been sold out, just goes to show how WoW-crazy some people get. The Pandaren Monk, listed for US$ 10 on the Blizzard pet store, has now been "sold out" in the United States.

Activision - Image 1The third quarter financial call for Activision just commenced this afternoon, and the big news that came out of it was that their 2010 games will be bigger, including new iterations for the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero franchises.

Not only that, but 40% of the companies in the games industry will be caught unprepared for this shift in consumer choice.

Since its release back in November 24th, World of Warcraft has farmed its way to 8.6 million copies sold in US retail alone, with 800,000 of those coming in its first month. This figure includes sales from World of Warcraft, the collector's edition version, Battle Chest, and the two standalone expansions: The Burning Crusade and Wrath of The Lich King.
