If you're a fan of Blizzard's World of Warcraft, then you've probably heard something about the Great Dragonblight in Northrend. In case you need a little refresher on the history of this landmark, you might want to know that the official website has opened a page discussing the location.

According to the website, the Great Dragonblight is a place where wyrms go when they are about to die. At the center of this bone infested area is Wyrmrest Keep, a citadel surrounded by five dragon shrines.

Recently, the Scourge has been staging numerous assaults on the shrines surrounding the keep in an attempt to grant the Lich King the ability to raise more variations of undead dragons. To further complicate matters, the fanatical Scarlet Onslaught (once known as the Scarlet Crusade) has sent forces to battle the undead in the hope of claiming a victory against the Scourge.

Alexstrasza, the red Dragon Aspect, has also decided to take an active role in the defense of these sacred shrines by recruiting heroes to aid in the fight against the Scourge. The stage has been set for a three way battle-royale unlike anything Azeroth has ever seen.
