World of Warcraft: Clarifications on patch 2.4.2 and Season 4 release dates - Image 1Wondering exactly when Blizzard is planning to release World of Warcraft's Arena Season 4? While this question's popped up as far back as patch 2.4, it's apparently resurfaced due to the expected end run of the PTR patch 2.4.2 by this weekend.

As player Noldor further pointed out, if Blizzard did launch Season 4 by this weekend, it will mirror the dev's launch schedule when the MMORPG transitioned from Season 2 to 3. So, is S4 potentially coming out by next week? According to a clarification from Nethaera, this may not be the case:

We will be giving advance notice on when we plan to implement Season 4. Our intention will be to give a two week notice like we've done in the past. So, it will be no surprise to you if it doesn' t start next week.

As a recap, WoW's Season 4 was originally scheduled to kick off this month.  Given that there hasn't been any notice from Blizzard, however, it looks we'll have to play the waiting game just a little longer. Drop by again in case we pick up any related updates.
