Dragonhawk - WoW pet - Image 1Sure, pets provide us with companionship. But on the flip side, they are another thing to worry about. Over at World of Warcraft, gamers have always encountered issues with hunter pets from the engineering level cap to today's Auto-cast Growl bug.

Growl is a pet ability which generates a lot of pure threat especially in Aggro situations. However, bug reports show that the spell can only be cast manually.

Blizzard bluepost Hortus made an investigation upon the matter because the Growl and even the Charge interaction might have been affected when the patch changed from 2.3.3 to 2.4.

Hortus performed tests for both the 2.3.3 and 2.4 builds. The Community Manager discovered that Growl can auto-cast faultlessly when turned on. The generated threat was also the same for both patches. Hortus then concludes that if there is indeed a bug with hunter pets in the Aggro setting, it is not because of Growl.

To remove all doubts, Hortus ran more detailed tests which you can inspect for yourself over at the via link. More updates as we get them.

» Doncha just love this buggy patch?

If it's like the General chat window and Sound settings... you'll have to turn Growl off, save, then turn it back on again. Then repeat this process EACH FRICKIN time you log in!

Dunno why such obvious flaws made it out of PTR.
