World of Warcraft details for the Headless Horseman - Image 1When Blizzard's Nethaera announced the patch notes for World of Warcraft's game patch 2.2.2 (currently under testing at the Public Test Realms), one detail revealed was the appearance of the Headless Horseman for the Hallow's End event.

We've managed to pick up more details today regarding WoW's new resident pumpkin head, whom you can find in two locations (quoting MMO Champion):

  • In the Scarlet Monastery's Graveyard. (Summoned from the big pumpkin), you will be able to fight him here.
  • In low level towns like Goldshire and Kharanos (anywhere where there is a Costumed Orphan Matron, just get the quest from commoners in any major city), he will attack the villages every 4 hours and you will have to prevent them from burning by extinguishing fires. You won't be able to attack the horseman and it's actually a very boring quest.
Your encounter with the horseman at the Scarlet Monastery will require you and your party to be at level 70. Your reward for defeating this end boss will be several Epic gear, including the previously announced Flying Broom mount. At least now we know where to get this item - we'll let you know if Ichabod Crane is also another possibility for WoW's upcoming Hallow's End.
