To tip or not to tip - that is the question. Well, it was the question asked by World of Warcraft player Chareth on Blizzard's forums. Granted, it's not the first time that a WoW forum member asked a tipping-related question. This time, however, the question had to do with in-game tanks and a 51 gp repair bill.

Just like last time, opinions varied between Blizzard forum members. Some maintained that there's no need to if the tank was doing his or her job. Others argued that tanks with that kind of repair bill aren't doing a good job in the first place.

Blue poster Eyonix offered Blizzard's take on this issue with the following statement:

I have many other thoughts on this, but In short, as a tank I would not accept a tip. If you want to tip a tank, go for it. I think it's wrong on many levels. Plenty of people have costs that go into running a dungeon. Beyond the obvious dungeon associated costs (varies per class), I have many dps friends that will use elixirs/flasks/oils on a run to make it smoother for the group.

Good point. Then again, it probably wouldn't hurt to err on the side of generosity from time to time, now would it?
