Nintendo is prepping to release three new games to the region's Virtual Console service: International Karate, Uridium, and Cruis'n USA.International Karate should be memorable for those who've owned a Commodore 64 system. Introduced back in 1986, this classic fighter substitutes the traditional health bar with an even more traditional point system (like in real Karate matches). Play either in a progressively difficult single player mode, or against a friend in this old favorite, which will cost 500 Wii Points. The next Commodore 64 title being made available is Uridium. This game is a horizontal scrolling shooter, where you must pilot your ship (the Manta) against several Giant-sized star ships (Super Dreadnoughts). This single player-only title will cost you 500 Wii Points. Lastly, Nintendo will also be launching Cruis'n USA originally for the N64 console. This racer will have players travelling through the U.S.' most prominent landmarks and cities, including San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, and South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore. This game is expected to hit Europe and all other PAL regions for a price of 1000 Wii Points. That's about it for now but don't forget to keep checking back here at QJ.NET for more VC updates for the Nintendo Wii. |
