If you're in a hunt for a cellphone that isn't that flashy but does the job efficiently, then maybe you oughta wait for this latest communications contraption from Sharp. Tagged as the Sharp V201SH, it is a compact, straight-type model that measures 115mm tall and 16mm thin, with that, this one would easily fit in your backpocket or right at the palm of your hand.
Features-wise, you can't rule this baby out too. It is blessed with a 1.9 inch QVGA (240 x 340 pixel) LCD that ensures the user a crisp text and graphics display. Plus it is equipped with two modes of operation - the normal mode and the simple mode which is advisable to cellphone newbies since operating in that mode will feature large fonts and simplified operations. You could also choose between a black variant or a white one.
But if you are the type that values wireless connectivity and camera features, maybe you should be looking at something different. This thingamajig only offers IrDa connectivity and it has no external memory. Also, it is not equipped with camera functions. Basically, this one is a simpleton's phone - the kind that is dependable for calling and sending SMSs.
This one will be available exclusively through the Vodafone Prepaid Service and would probably be released on July 2006. No word on the price tag, but definitely, if you're a simple person this would cost within your means.
