Virtua Fighter 5 – PS3 Exclusive
SEGA announced today that the latest installment of the acclaimed Virtua Fighter series would be coming exclusively to the Sony PlayStation 3. A footage showcasing the game will be on display at the 2006 Entertainment Electronic Expo on May 10-12 in the SEGA booth. SEGA says that VF5 will take the fighting-game genre to a new level with innovations made possible by the PS3’s next-gen hardware.
Virtua Fighter 5 kicks you straight in the teeth returning with 17 Virtua Veterans and 2 all-new fighters; El Blaze, is a Mexican Wrestling Champion, while Eileen is a Chinese fighter who uses monkey-style fighting techniques. VF5 characters will sport 4 different costumes each, along with various items which can be attached to different parts of your fighters body to help create a more unique avatar for each player.
“Virtua Fighter 5 will offer fans the ultimate next-generation fighting game experience,” promises Scott A. Virtua Fighter 5 fulfills this promise, and then some.” VF5 should be available in Spring of 2007.
