Such a thing just happened to be the case with the Vodka guild of Mannoroth, who recently found out that reversing the order of the Eredar Twins kills appears to net players more loot. Specifically, one additional epic item and four sunmotes. 

To do this, it seems, all your raid group has to do is kill Lady Sarcolash before taking down Grand Warlock Alythess. It's not exactly easy, but Vodka assures people that it's both doable and fun.

With some extra loot thrown into the mix, you can see the incentive to make new strategies here. We suggest that well-equipped guilds who've managed to take down the Eredar Twins before try this out. You'll not only get extra loot, you'll also be trying something new for your troubles.
