Two new laptops have been added by Toshiba to its Portage series, the R500-12P and the R500-12Q. What's really notable about these notebooks is the fact they are both loaded with a 128GB of solid-state drive. These babies run on Intel's 1.33 GHz Core 2 Duo U7700 processor, 2GB of 667MHz DDR 2 memory, accompanied with the said SSD. Also, both versions have a multi-format DVD writer. The dimension of the laptops are about 283 x 215.8 x 19.5-25.5mm. Just like other R500s in the market, the new models sport a 12.1 inch display panel, with a resolution of 1280x800. Both also feature LED-backlit screens powered by Intel GMA 950 integrated graphics cores. As for connection features, the two have 802.11n Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports, one Firewire port, a Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, a PC card slot, and an SD memory card slot. Whew. That's a lot. So, if you guys are looking an all-around laptop, you might want to figure the laptops into your list. |
