For those of us who have yet to download the demo of the time-warping FPS, Sierra Entertainment's Timeshift (Xbox 360, PS3, PC) that recently became available in Xbox Live, here's an opportunity to see what you're missing: a very wicked-looking video of the game in action, peppered judiciously with sadistic utilization of your time-bending abilities.

In this gameplay video update, we see the player using his ability to control time the way it should be used (and neglected to be used in popular media such as movies and books). Namely, stopping time, and then shooting the everliving crap out of your enemies.

While it may be unsporting to walk up to an opponent, slow down time and then take their weapons away - tearing off their limbs in the process - it certainly works in your favor, and you survive in the bullet-riddled war zone for a few moments longer. All's fair in love and war, eh?

For further details, you can check out our first impressions of the demo itself. Timeshift is a fresh take on the usual point-and-shoot action of FPS titles, and it certainly delivers. Enjoy the video!

 » There is nice innovation....

I like how the environment just blows up into rubble right in front of you those details are big like if you shoot a bazooka at a while ofcourse it should take a chunk off that wall! and the shot that makes you faster making you able to take down multiple soldiers before they can see you is neat. I gotta play the demo more....

You can tell this is made on the 360, the horrible graphics and choppy framerate, terrible. I give this game a 3/10

here's what i noticed:
1) the part where the guy gets shot in the back of the head, i reversed it, pumped the bad guy full of lead, but he somehow STILL got shot by him, and the baddy lived. WTF?!?! you cant save people? how lame.
2) when the game is paused, why not make it look like time is frozen? or, when you die, why not pull you back in time like the end of the demo?!
3) i expected this to be more like Mercenaries with slo-mo/time stopping capabilities, in 3rd person, where you can watch yourself stop and start. what we got was a lame version of FEAR.
4) the setting is very cramped, and linear. i like to have my choices of where to go.
5) the website never had any link to let me tell them my thoughts. bah!
6) how about powerups to get more "time" to use your abilities? or, maybe have it start hurting your health?

great potential, and addictive gameplay: 5/10
