Ó

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots bundle from Konami and Kojima Productions - Image 1We're sure a lot of you are excited about Konami Digital and Kojima Productions' upcoming video game for the Sony PlayStation 3, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and of course, we're sure you caught that little tidbit about the MGS4 80GB PS3 bundle for this side of the world. While we're on the subject of bundles, we've just caught word that Japan will be getting three flavors of MGS4 goodness come release.

According to reports from Famitsu, the folks over in Japan will be able to choose from three packages: a base pack, Special Edition, and premium pack. The base pack will include a copy of the game plus Metal Gear Online, while the Special Edition pack will be sporting a Blu-ray disc containing trailers and a making-of video. The premium pack will have all of the above, plus a Sony PS3 unit.

Here's another clincher: According to the Japanese magazine, Konami will be throwing in a "special model" PS3 with the said premium MGS4 pack. While Famitsu didn't let what color that said model will sport, the report did indicate that Konami will be revealing more details in March 21.

That's pretty much all we have for you right now, but stay tuned for more updates. Will we be seeing the special edition or the "special model"? Let's cross our fingers and pray that Konami Digital decides to share the love.

thats coming to the US too. First off we're getting the PS3/Mgs4 bundle. Konami said that we're going to get Mgs4 packed with Mgo (so thats the second bundle). I don't see why they'd not give us a special addition pack here in the US, its just an extra blu-ray disk.

Kinda off topic but I bet people in japan are kind of pissed that US gets to go into the beta and they cant (now they know how we felt lol).

 » PS3 come to me!

MGS4 - I hope is as good as MGS2 and MGS1(PSX) MGS3 was OK but didnt like it that much! As for online I have the MGS3 SUbstance for online gameplay - it was good.

This is a good reason to get PS3 as I did with PS2 -LOL - let's see if it will surpass and overpass XBlock 360 sales as XBlock fans said it wont. Can I start laughing now or once I get my PS3?
