A Pink DS can save the worldWell, it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we might as well mention this tidbit of into as gaming for a cause. According to scattered reports over the internet, Target is offering up sales of pink Nintendo DS units for the good of womankind. For this week, Target will be donating the proceeds of their pink DS sales to breast cancer research.

Now, we first heard about it through the Gaming Angels website, and other forums online have made mention of it, but we're definitely searching for more information.

We can't seem to find an actual indication of this deal at Target's online store, so it might just be an in-store promo. If any of you have seen a copy of a newspaper ad of this or have found confirmation, let us know. We'd like to get more details on this event, and spread the word if possible.

For now, at least, we'd like to believe this to be a truthful goodwill gesture until proven otherwise. We'll keep you informed as we know more.

Cancer has been cured dozens of times but the fda holds back the cures in fear of loosing billions of dollors in funds. All these so called research's are money hungery dumb ass's that should be rotting in a jail cell for keeping the truth hidden.

If you dont beleive me go pick up the natural cures book

Yes, cancer has been cured, moron.

Wait till someone you know and love gets cancer, I can't wait to see you cure them.

If Target is indeed doing this, then good on them. Breast cancer is a horrible thing and anything to help cure it is worthwhile.

Oh and uh, #1, you sound like a natural medicine person. You know, the crazy ones who think diet Coke makes you mentally unstable? Either way, you're wrong.

 » Yes they are

Target is doing this according to their ads in the news paper. They say they are donating 100% of their profit made from Pink DS Lites to breast cancer research.

 » Very true

I work at target actually and all my LODs told me about the proceeds event, if my girlfriend really wanted one I'd buy it just for the cause then

Got a scan of the ad, as well as where the ad is applicable?

Do they have a limit as to how much they're donating?

» Follow up after asking my store manager

The ad is applicable in all target stores. There is no limit except it is only on the pink labeled products (so it won't only include the DS, things such as toilet paper and even cookies and such are included).
