Developer Visual Impact found some good use for the DSi's camera and integrated it into their new game, System Flaw. The feature basically adds the game on top of what otherwise be your normal camera mode, so you'll have to move your camera (and yourself) around in order to hunt aliens down.

In the game, the world is under attack by aliens called the Flaw, and they can only be seen through the DSi. With a radar on the top screen and your "gun" below, you will run the risk of looking like a complete idiot poking your DSi up and down and running all over the place. Be warned, this is not a game to play in public. The game also features 100 levels of enemies, which just keep popping into the radar and the real time environment made possible by the camera.

Although it has been awarded "Best Innovation" by the Agence Française pour le Jeu Vidéo, this concept is not original to System Flaw since games sporting the same feature have appeared in mobile phones with cameras.

System Impact will be available this week in the US, while those in Europe will have to wait until February 2010.

Anyone else find it extremely appropriate that the first real game coming out for a system that launched over 8 months ago is being called "System Flaw"?
