Sometimes, it's nice to get news straight from the horse's mouth. In a recent interview, StarCraft 2 lead producer Chris Sigaty talked about the recent developments that Blizzard has made with the game, specifically the game's AI and the Zerg Swarm in StarCraft 2.

According to Sigaty, the AI operates on a different level than it did in the original StarCraft. Computer opponents no longer know everything about you, so they actually make the effort to gather intelligence this time around.

Furthermore, Sigaty also mentioned that while the Protoss are probably the most solid race as at this point in time, the Zerg have also gotten more placeholders since then (around 10-20% more). Blizzard is still experimenting with the Swarm; it's practically making changes around every week, so you'll see things like Infestors with the Dark Swarm skill and what not.

Finally, when quizzed as to which StarCraft 2 unit was the hardest one to take out, Sigaty admitted that the answer differs for each and every member of the Blizzard team. For Sigaty's part, though, he's glad that the medic was taken out of the game.

In any case, Chris Sigaty discusses the topics in a more in-depth fashion in the video below. Check it out:
