The wellspring of gaming joy that is WiiWare doesn't seem to be stopping, and in this gameplay video update of the top-town shoot-em-up that is Hudson Soft's Star Soldier R, we find reasons to be happy that it won't. Featuring mercury-fluid gameplay that dares you to be reckless and weave around deadly projectiles, Star Soldier R is definitely looking to be one of the must-buys of the ever-expanding Nintendo WiiWare library.
Looking at the videos, it's clear that Star Soldier R is by no means just a quick cash-in or half-hearted port on the Nintendo Wii. The visuals are there, the music is heart-pounding, and there's definitely a sense of accomplishment whenever you manage to destroy a swarm of enemy spacecraft that's been littering the screen with bullets. What's more, there's quite a few things in the background you can blow up - and that's certainly a nice touch. Enjoy the videos! |
