Square EnixSquare Enix is looking like a company that's on one hell of a roll. After finding out that it's still on top at the Amazon charts, Square Enix quickly recalculated its profit forecasts and announced that the company is expecting higher sales. Now, they're meeting their expectations.

Square Enix confidently raised its profits forecast once again in less than three weeks.

The videogame publisher, which is best known for the gigantic and widely-popular Final Fantasy franchise, now expects operating profits for the six months ending September 30 to reach 9.1 billion yen (US$ 77 million), a seven percent increase from the previous estimate of 8.5 billion yen (US$ 71.9 million).

The raised forecast was largely due to good sales of Kingdom Hearts 2. Square Enix now expects strong demand for the made-for-DVD movie "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" (which is quite an entertaining movie, if we say so ourselves). The full year outlook for Square Enix remains the same, with the publisher looking at an operating profit of 19 billion yen (US$ 161 million).
