Sparty the Spartan is the NCAA Football 09 Cover Mascot for Wii - Image 1The Cover Mascot challenge for Electronic Art's NCAA Football 09 was one tough competition. Sparty the Spartan from the Michigan State University was a cut above the rest and came out victorious.

Fans went online and cast more than 700,00 voted for their favorite mascots. The mascots that reached the top ten were from Central Florida, Washington State, Auburn, LSU, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa State, Alabama and Penn State.

The victory that Sparty has achieved is definitely something fans have enjoyed since they were the ones who made him win. Of course, having won the spot Sparty is definitely ready to bring his game on with the upcoming football videogame.

Aside from the mascot, players will get to enjoy virtual football with the NCAA Football 09. It will be focusing on a more stylized gameplay system that is easy for fans to jump in and out of. The game will also be featuring close to 200 schools from both the FBS and FCS divisions. It's definitely one of the most authentic college sports game that will be available for the Wii.
