Tokyo Game Show 2008 - Image 1

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has published a press release on their PlayStation Japan listing all the PS3 and PSP games that will end up in the Tokyo Game Show event next weekend. Curious? Hellzyeah, you better be.

A handful of the games have already been confirmed before (LittleBigPlanet, Dissidia, etc. - we've heard tons about them already), however, Sony's promising to announce 14 new titles we've never even heard of. Ever!

PlayStation 3
  • Guitar Hero Legend of Rock
  • FIFA 09 World Class Soccer
  • Street Fighter IV
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Lumines Supernova
  • Metal Gear Online
  • Way of the Samurai 3
  • Sonic World Adventure
  • PlayStation Home
  • Mainichi Issho
  • Motorstorm 2: Pacific Rift
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Resistance 2
  • WWE 2009 Smackdown vs. Raw
  • Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2
  • Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm
Unannounced PS3 Games
  • 1 game from Irem
  • 1 game from Konami
  • 9 games from Sony Computer Entertainment
PSP
  • Sengoku Basara Battle Heroes
  • Dynasty Warriors Multi Raid
  • Orochi Warriors Second Coming of the Devil King
  • Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep
  • Dissidia Final Fantasy
  • Secret Agent Clank
  • Ape Quest
  • Patapon 2
  • Bleach: Soul Carnival
  • Mainichi Issho Portable
  • Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or 2
  • LocoRoco 2
  • Idolmaster SP
  • Mobile Suit Gundam vs Gundam
  • Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2
Unannounced PSP Games
  • 3 from Sony Computer Entertainment
One PS3 game from Konami? Revealing MGS5 seems to be a bit too soon... Maybe Zone of the Enders 3? And from Irem... another R-Type game or probably Steambot. I was also hoping maybe Capcom would have an unannounced title for the PSP (a portable DMC or Resident Evil sounds fab right about now...).

Of the 14 yet-to-be-revealed titles, a dozen of them are actually coming from Sony Computer Entertainment - meaning, it could come from any which one of their studios, from Team ICO to SOE. Also, there's no knowing if these unannounced titles will be new IPs or just new installments in existing franchises. I wonder which is the supposed "super-sexy secret game" referred to yesterday.

Care to cast in your bets? Remember! TGS happens next week, from October 9 to 12.

 » Wait a sec

Isnt Metal Gear Online already out?
Or is it an expansion pack?

Also, what the heck is Sonic World Adventure?
Werent 2 Sonic games enough?

Where's Resistance Retribtuion for PSP?

   Re: rpgpro001 - 2008-09-30
» not all games are new

everything at TGS does not have to be a new game, some are not released in japan, get updates, etc...

As far as sonic world adventure, it is Sonic Unleashed, just a different name in japan.

Dont know about resistance, should be there as well, but maybe it's going to be listed directly under insomniac for some reason... who knows

   Re: Alcantara617 - 2008-09-30
 » MGO

dont remember exactly where i seen this but the reason it says metal gear online is not because of an expansion pack, the metal gear online that comes with MGS4 is technically a trial version, MGO is still to come out on its own disc with way more content, why do u think there's only like 4 maps?? mot sure where i seen this but its true

   Re: chessboxer - 2008-10-01
» Some people really don't understand MGO

There is no difference between the MGO that comes with MGS4 or the MGO which you can buy on its own in Japan.

There is no trial version of anything. MGO is a game which is now being sold separately so that people who DON'T want to buy MGS4 to play MGO don't have to (personally I would call those people crazy but at least now the stand alone option is there).

MGO will also be released as a stand alone game outside of Japan at some point.
