E For All - Image 1

FiringSquad reports that Sony along with other major video game publishers will not be gracing the inaugural E For All Expo. Earlier reports had Sony pegged for at least some booth presence at the event.

Aside from Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA), FiringSquad reports that Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), NCSoft, Sega and Capcom have also declined to take part in the event. Microsoft, meanwhile, has apparently not decided whether or not it will grace the event.

Back in March, Nintendo of America signed on as an anchor exhibitor for the event. Electronic Arts was also confirmed as an exhibitor earlier this week. FiringSquad also notes that the IDG World Expo website lists THQ, Konami and Namco as event exhibitor along with hardware companies Intel and NVidia.

The E For All Expo, which is being promoted by IDG World Expo as a replacement for the old E3 format, will take place in Los Angeles on October 18 to 21.

E For All is for those up-and-coming programmers and enthusiasts. In other words, although it would be nice to see the big boys there, it's not going to happen. It's kind of like seeing NBA superstars participate in an And 1 showdown. Although it's basketball, it's not going to happen since it's not going to garner them any more respect, knowledge, or money.

Looks as if E4 is going to be as much of a failure as E3 was and looks as if X0? and TGS will be the big shows now

TGS has always been a big show so I don't know what you're talking about.

TGS is the biggest. and now with nintendo hopping on the TGS bandwagon it will be a full war of course with MS looking silly because they will be promoting american softwares and only few japanese goods here in japan. XO was canceled.

We'll see what the future holds. Nintendo can make this event really big if they drop a few bombs. If Sony sees Nintendo getting good press coverage then I'm sure they'd want in along with other developers that may have second thoughts.
