A side-scrolling Kratos? That's what happens when a franchise gets milked for as much money as possible. Hopefully the mobile game spin-off, God of War: Betrayal, will be a little more than mediocre.
As reported by QJ Blogger Karl B., the game takes place sometime in between God of War and God of War II. Actually, we're only assuming that it takes place before God of War II. You see, it only makes sense for anyone who's played God of War II to place a game where Kratos' goal is to prove that he didn't betray the gods to before God of War II continuity-wise. Oops, did we just spoil something? (Go play GoWII, everyone else is!)
Anyhow, below are several screenshots of the game, hopefully something to help you judge if the game's worth it or not.
If the game turns out to be a dud, then at least enterprising folks now have a source to nab Kratos sprites from. Imagine the number of forum avatars and icons you can make? Picture this: image macros that say Kratos hearts pixels, or some such. Fun right?
