Have you ever been to an international championship tournament? Not yet? Well sit up and read cos this may very well be your first chance. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) and EVO Championship Series have teamed with Ignition Entertainment to bring you The King of Fighters XII International Championship Tournament. And it's coming very soon, too, so get your game on.

As for the why, this is in celebration of the 15th anniversary of The King of Fighters series, culminating with the release of The King of Fighters XII in July on the PS3. As for the mechanics of the tourney, there will be 128 players invited to battle in the categories of single-elimination and five-round tournament. The grand prize is a limited edition KOF XII arcade cabinet fresh from Japan.

But although the tourney officially starts at 12 noon, you'd still want to head out there earlier, say, like ten AM, for the open morning training session, wherein you can also mingle and meet new friends.

Don't worry, they tourney is free and it's open for all ages. The only thing you have to take note of is that entrants must register in advance to get in the limited 128 slots. And you don't wanna miss that, am sure.
