For those of you wishing to have an online co-op mode for God of War III, sorry folks, the news is all false. Over the weekend, we reported about the possible inclusion of an online co-op component for the upcoming game which was supposed to be hinted by the God of War III module from the official Sony retail site.

But thankfully, the Examiner got hold of Eric Levine, Sony's Product Public Relations Officer, to clear the rumor. According to Levine's short and sweet response:

This news is false.

Well there you have it folks, rumor smashed.

C'mon the picture we saw was from a QUIZ. Asking the player if he was aware of the game's options.

Q: Does GOWIII has the option for Co-op?

a. Yes
b. No

That that actually made it as "News".

Seriously c'mon....

yeah, man. Youre totally right. Seriously. You were SUPPOSED to answer "No". Everyone who thought this is the confirmation was really dumb.

Is there any possible co op character as badass as Kratos?

No, not unless they make one up, which would be stupid.

No offense, I like you guys but it seems you're really stretching for news articles that shouldn't have been news. It's common sense that Sony and the God of war 3 team SAID: NO ONLINE AND CO-OP!!!

It's a single Player game. It's about KRATOS only. How can you have co-op?
Stig Asmussen also confirmed this awhile back saying no online at all and that there's going to be alot of the challenges of the gods or whatever.

I even called this on the previous cause I know practically everything that's been said about the game.
