Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG - Image 1There are many ways to speed up Blizzard's World of Warcraft on your computer. The widely accepted methods are to close other applications, update your drivers, or to simply upgrade your computer and internet connection. However, rumors are coming in saying there might be another method: run Windows Media Player in the background while playing WoW.

This rumor originated from the WoW Europe Forums, where multiple players confirmed the said exploit. Interestingly enough, other websites such as WoW Insider and Wired have reported faster loading times as well when running the game with Windows Media Player.

Representatives from Blizzard have given word that they are already aware of the situation and are looking into it. Hopefully, they'll have an explanation regarding thisr. Until then, why don't you give it a try the next time you boot up World of Warcraft.
