The Getaway 3 - Image 1

According to Portuguese video game news website LusoPlay, Sony is planning an event in November to highlight two of their upcoming PlayStation 3 titles: The Getaway 3 and the driving/third-person shooter hybrid Eight Days.

Not a lot is known about these two titles, but LusoPlay reports that according to one of their sources, The Getaway 3 is already deep into development. Team Soho, the ones responsible for development on the title, already has the environment and scenarios in place and will reportedly be moving on to The Getaway 3's storyline and core gameplay.

Additionally, LusoPlay's source claims that The Getaway 3's graphics are equal to those showcased at GDC 2006 (check out the screenshot above). A lot of people questioned whether or not that presentation was realistic, and while we still haven't seen or heard anything to confirm that the presentation was indeed more than just a show of the PS3's potential, hopefully we'll get more updates in the coming weeks.

Both The Getaway 3 and Eight Days are reportedly slated for a Q2 2008 release. Stay tuned for more news.

 » Finally

We get to see what this game is all about...

Hope they make the presentations interesting as opposed to the dull Assasins Creed expo in London last saturday...They had a 42' screen and we were standing like 25 meters in the back!

lol Altair looked like an ant from back there. Good game but Jade gave as the impression that they created this game for two reasons 1)To sell their new code engine
2)to make AC 2 and 3. It felt like they kept a lot of stuff out just to have something left for the sequels.

Anyway, Jade Raymond was enough of a good show for me nevertheless!!!
