Rumored PSP-Sony Mylo - Image 1

Hot off Sony Ericsson's denial of the existence of a Sony PlayStation Portable-mobile phone hybrid, we've grabbed hold of what could be an early version of the Sony Mylo. Feast your eyes on that baby!

This image is a mockup of what the next Mylo will look like as supplied by our source who's close to Sony. The word right now is that the Sony Mylo will supposedly provide some features that the Sony PSP has once it's incorporated with the PSP software. As for gaming though, our source says the Mylo's processor is too slow so it won't be able to handle that. And if the Mylo ever gets gaming integration, the Mylo's price would become too steep.

We must say that this one's a startling revelation indeed if it holds any water. The new hardware could open up a lot of possibilities into expanding Sony's fan base with the inclusion of mobile phone enthusiasts. Updates are set to come, so keep it with us for more on the PSP-Sony Mylo rumor.

 » -.-

this news is unbelievably old. I remember playing with one of these on a display unit at a best buy, about one year ago.

I believe that this is a newer model that one you and I saw on display...guessing...

 » WOW!!!

That is what I have been looking for in the PSP, the key board for easy input. The front should like of the normal psp, request for another analog pad on the right though and THE R2/L2 buttons, and I will buy that for $200 to $250 no questions asked and begging shamelessly.

 » am I missing something?

I dont see any correlation between this and a PSP.
I see no face buttons that make it painstakingly obvious its meant to be a playstation product (X O / or [] )

secondly ... we just got the slim and light..... didnt they say they would do that BEFORE making another model with 2 analogs L2 & R2?

I really dont believe that to have any signs that it is in fact meant to be a PSP aside from the sony logo ... where is the PSP logo if so ?

 » yeah

How is this relevant to the PSP? Maybe if it said "PSP" where it says "SONY" or there were the shape buttons and an analog stick or two, or even a shot from the other side of the phone and what appeared to be a UMD slot.

 » uum...

forgive me if this sounds dumb... but what this seems to be is a phone with all the capabilities of a psp... except without the gaming of the psp, because it lacks the hardware >_>.

That being said, I proclaim my LG vx9800 is a psp, because it does everything a psp can do and a few more things. I've got music, video, can view and take pictures, internet, and I can use it as a phone... except it cant play psp games, but if things dont have to play psp games to be a psp, then I say almost all phones made nowadays are psps, am I right?

I dont mean to troll, but having a phone, that has the name PSP slapped on it... is hardly a psp -_-;

» and you know very little

of what the PSP is capable of.
I can do all that your phone can except make a phone call ON MY PSP

you couldnt be further from a fact with that kind of idiotic statement.

photoshop picture.

Lol I don't think you can load that type of yahoo on that.

Try it on your psp and see what I talking about.

That page only supports Internet Explorer, Opera and Mozilla.

This picture is FAKE, I REPEAT FAKE!

   Re: Mudshark - 2007-10-02
 » Maybe not

Opera has had a mobile browser out for a while now that supports viewing the whole page in its entirety like that. iPhone-style if you will. Actually I believe the last Mylo used an Opera mobile browser. I have it on my RAZR and it displays entire websites perfectly. The PSP doesn't have a browser like that for reasons that escape me. It uses a Netfront browser, which is based on Netscape 4 (hence why it can't always display pages properly since they were made for more current browsers).

 » Cool

I liked the original Mylo. My only beef was that it was way overpriced, and that it only supported Yahoo Messenger and Google Talk, not AIM or MSN.
