After so many extended offers - four, I think, but I lost count - Electronic Arts finally got its wish and began closed door talks with Take-Two Interactive.
And now... they walked out from the merger. At least, according to
rumor.Guess there's less chance of seeing a Grand Theft Auto Sims game in the future? Rumors can be a powerful thing though. Not just in Hollywood either. This particular rumor of EA walking out on the merger is believed to be the reason why T2's stock dropped from 24.51 points to as low as 21.34 yesterday. So what happened behind their closed doors? Would it have anything to do with the Grand Theft Auto IV copy cat killing issue going on in Thailand I wonder? Probably not. At any rate, we can expect some word from either party soon.
