wtf is happening to GameSpot, it used to be my favourite game review source.
then Jeff got fired, now Alex is leaving. those were my two favorite reviewers because they always gave the most accurate and non commercial reviews

Alex was an ass hole. And I say that because he gave games I liked crappy scores and crappier reviews. But at least I respect the guy more for leaving that super crappy site.

They base their review scores on ad revenue... so if a game studio buys the most ad spaces, their games get the best scores. I would call that "super crappy", regardless of the site layout, the number of reviews, and "user-friendliness".

I've been on GS for many years, same with IGN and many other website forums, and whilst it's true that the fanboys and trolls tend to be everywhere on topic threads (yes even here on QJ), there are ALWAYS a number of intelligent individuals to be found. :|
