Mario for DSMario never fails to put me in a nostalgic mode. With the release of the New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS, I'm in a mood for remembering the days when I was still in pink dresses and pigtails bullying my cousins to drop the Famicom controller – after all, the Famicom was mine. Today, I don't have to bully them – I just have to put the DS under lock and key and cousins will be none be the wiser. Sigh...I miss my bullying days.

bundleLeading import video games, consoles, and game gear retailer Renchi.com has a different way of celebrating the debut of new Mario game. They're bundling the Nintendo DS with the New Super Mario Bros. for a cheap price of $234.90 (DS with the Nintendogs Chihuahua bundle is also available for $229.90).

Also part of the celebration is a hands-on review of the game. Here's what the review has to say: “We are sure that this New Super Mario Bros. will get a high score from all those reviews that follow ours, but ultimately, it's about how much fun we had (and still having) while playing this classic reborn. The characters, the theme, the music, the new twists, and the new mini games, Mario, Welcome Back!”

Indeed...Welcome back, Mario!

Is it only down here that places NEVER get the games on release day anymore? They all say, "today's the day they ship the game. We don't get it until tomorrow."

What kind of crap is that? They USED to get them all on the actual release day. I remember because I used to go to gamestop, etc and they'd have games on the specified day. Don't say a game is coming out on a specific day and then not have it!

Can anyone suggest a place to check? I'm going to stop by Target and places like that and check later tonight, but the game shops (gamestop, game crazy, etc).

 » DS Lite?

That picture is very misleading, considering that the bundle is a DS original bundle with the game, and not a DS lite.

yes it is. Check this link:

I'd hope that for over $230, it'd be a lite and not a regular DS!

 » Rip Off!

Well seeing as how Nintendo DS Lite hits America in about 2-3 weeks for $129 and i think this game retails for $30 which totals to about $160 maybe $170 or so after taxes I'd say that $230 for this from http://renchi.com/renchi/Product?productID=19670 is indeed
is a major ripoff.
