The patch for the controller isn't working so well - Image 1

It seems the folks at RedOctane have to work overtime this week before a mob of Guitar Hero 2 fans come knocking on their door. RedOctane has admitted that there does seem to be something wrong with their patch.

While the patch was supposed to solve the problem of whammy bar responsiveness on GH2 controllers, it also seemed to have the unfortunate side-effect of bricking and freezing consoles, if the Xbox 360 forums are any indication. A spokesperson for RedOctane simply acknowledged the problem, saying, "We're aware of the problem and we're looking into it." As of yet, there has been no further word from RedOctane regarding the problems with the patch.

It feels like the manual fix is looking to be more enticing every day. Still, we do hope RedOctane gets to the bottom of this, and soon, as the game's a relatively new release on the 360 and will inevitably be hurt sales-wise by this ill-timed event.

I patched my GHII 2 days ago, just come from playing like 4 hours of crackdown and table tennis so i think my 360 is fine :)

Still hope they bring another proper patch along soon just in case my 360 just became a time-bomb brick ¬_¬
