Almost 18 years ago, there was a really cool adventure game for the PC and Amiga systems by the name of Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire. By today's standards, the game might seem a bit rough around the edges, but a team by the name of AGD Interactive has updated the original game to suit today's sensibilities.

Among other things, the VGA graphics have been updated, the timing of certain real-time puzzles have been made easier, and there are now dialog trees for you to follow instead of guessing the proper text you have to input to get everything to play out properly. Best of all, this update of the game is a completely free download available from the website linked below.

In any event, if you're looking for a quality title to pass some time with, you can't beat this remake, which has managed to stand the test of time. Enjoy!
