2006 has been one crazy year for all of us. The halls of QJ are visited by thousands of news-hungry, update-yearning, feature articles-loving websurfers. Sure we have our own share of... "passionate" users, but we've fortified our strongholds with better features, equipping you guys with the proper tools to make your QJ blog hopping experience the best one around.

We've thrived by having an established connection with you folks, and our community stands as a testament to that bond. Now to show you that QuickJump is YOUR blog, we're giving everyone the chance to hold the keys to our virtual city.

How, you ask? Well, since the year's about to end, we were all planning to have a special project that will have us summarizing the past year's key events. It suddenly occurred to us that it will be unfair to only have us, mere bloggers, concocting the post when the very best judge lies in front of us.

Yes, we've decided to forego the oh-so-old, tried and tested, annual year-ender type of articles that we all see from all possible gaming news sites out there. We're now giving our beloved neighbors, the QJ residents (hey, we're a community here), free reign on picking which "gaming moments" should be included in this list. (Aww, did I just hear a sniff?)

Sony's PSP and PS3

Whoa, hold your horses. Let's get this organized. So, what will do is ask you guys to submit your own thoughts on the categories listed below. It need not be austere arguments nor excellent explanations; all we want is everybody's two cents on the precious PS3 events, extreme Xbox 360 happenings, wonderful Wii news, and paralyzing PSP updates of 2006.

In a week from now, we'll be periodically putting up posts specifically discussing the "gaming moments" chosen by the community. Here comes the fun part. We'll be putting your own statements, unmodified, as a supplement to the article. Yeah, complete with your own profiles. It'll be your chance to have your thoughts voiced out and heard by the thousands who flock our sites everyday!

Aside from the chance of hearing from QJ's resident debaters such as TheProfessor, Figboy, Spector, and the others, we'll also be giving the gaming masses the opportunity to finally have a hand on a matter related to what we all love most. Instead of sparring endlessly on the comments sections, we'll now have a bigger stage – the actual blog itself! It'll be a cool way of expressing your own thoughts. Think of it as a simple broadening of battlegrounds, just a simple way of creating a stir during the holidays.

Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360

So, just exactly what are we all gonna be talking about? Here they are:

Extreme Xbox 360 happenings: Just send us your personal take on this year’s top three moments for Microsoft’s green and mean machine.

Precious PlayStation3 events: For the loyalists of the arguably (oops, am I starting the flame war this early?) best next-gen console hardware-wise - the same drill applies. Share with us the three most groundbreaking news for Sony's latest baby.

Wonderful Wii news: Wii worshippers worry not. For your console of choice, we're also allowing you to give us the three best noisemakers for Nintendo's creation this year.

Paralyzing PSP updates: PSP fanatics unite! It’s the scene's time to give our homebrew and hacks some love. Top three teardrop-producing and heart-gripping events for 2006, send them in. For this one, we're throwing in a li'l extra. When you send in your mails, make sure you include some words for our hardworking developers. We'll be putting up an article that'll serve as a tribute to the pillars of the PSP homebrew scene, so it'll be a great chance to have your own words included there as well.

There you have it folks. Let's try and celebrate the holidays, in the virtual QJ way. Fans are not limited to sending in tips for their own bets. Everyone's encouraged to cross platforms and pitch in some of your own thoughts based on the categories mentioned above. Democracy is useless without opposition, Uncle Abe once said. And since we're in an online community, let's do some healthy discussions of our own. Fire away!

I appreciate this all but these idiots keep ruining it for the rest of us...
I thank you for giving users an oppurtunity to express their own thoughts. And for being able to praise the great developers of the PSP scene.

i think/hope one of the top ranked things for the psp is 2.71 SE-C. Or Device Hook. Damn, those are 2 sexy things my psp would be useless without.

Why must you bash the developers for the stuff that they have brought you?? Try to sit down for a moment at youre computer and try to write some piece of software fore a psp, ds, pc, xbox, or ps3. The work dev's put into all this is *amazing* and *genius*. Most of the dev's will never make a dime off their contributions to platforms. So at the least, we can offer is through a simple blog, praise them each with a few paragraphs
