Homebrew developer ahrimanes dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Homebrew Development Forums to release a new version of the addictive space shooter, Polygunwars. Similar to Geometry Wars, this homebrew game for the Sony PlayStation Portable is all about shooting down relentless waves of enemies.

Since its earlier builds, Polygunwars version 0.4 received a variety of new features. Your score now appears on the upper left corner while the score to beat is on the right, spawns aren't random anymore, and the collision system has been improved. Developer ahrimanes also optimized the homebrew game with better performance of meshes and particles.

Polygunwars' previous releases tweaked the game's balance to make battles more hectic and fun. From the looks of it, ahrimanes will be working on future updates. Drop by Polygunwars version 0.4's release thread via link below for more details.
