Pitfall - Image 1Do you love Pitfall Harry? Yeah, we're talking about the same guy who first made his debut on the Atari 2600 back in 1982. Well, here's some good news that will make you smile.

Activision has announced that Pitfall: The Big Adventure is already in development for the Wii. Even better is the fact that the game should be arriving by Fall this year.

According to the press release, Pitfall: The Big Adventure is set in the Peruvian jungle and will feature over 60 levels. In addition, the game will be making use of the Wii's unique control scheme to, as Dave Oxford of Activision Publishing noted, "swing on a vine over blood thirsty crocodiles as retro-cool Pitfall Harry."

We're sure to hear more about this as we move closer to the release date so be sure to keep checking back here for more information. There's nothing we can do now but wait for more news and hope that the developers put in a lot of crocodiles for Harry to hop over.
