Those of you itching to get your hands on some Vegas lovin' will have to wait it out a bit longer. Midway Games has confirmed today that the game This is Vegas (PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) will be pushed back to a 2009 release, instead of its original Winter launch.

Says a Midway representative,

Midway is committed to developing and publishing the best quality products. It is important for us to make sure the game was given the development time needed in order to make This is Vegas a triple-A videogame and must-have for all PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PS3 owners.

But of course. We totally understand. Keeping up with the life in the fast Nevada lane isn't a stroll in the park, after all. But for what it's worth, it will be appearing and playable at the upcoming E3 Media and Business Summit, so maybe you guys can check that out in the meantime.
